By accessing or using GridWit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GridWit is a daily trivia game platform that provides users with a 3×3 grid of questions across three categories and three difficulty levels. The Service includes free gameplay, optional Pro subscription features, social features (Group Play, Friends, Tournaments), and related services.

3. User Accounts

You may use GridWit without creating an account. Creating an account enables additional features such as cross-device syncing, social features, and Pro subscriptions. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service
• Attempt to manipulate scores, streaks, or leaderboard rankings
• Share answers to the daily board before the day ends
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use offensive or inappropriate display names
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Pro Subscription

GridWit Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fee (monthly or annual)
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial billing periods

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and gameplay mechanics of GridWit are the intellectual property of GridWit and its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without express written permission.

Trivia questions are generated by artificial intelligence and curated for accuracy. While we strive for correctness, we do not guarantee the accuracy of all questions and answers.

7. User Content

By using social features (display names, Group Play rooms, referral messages), you grant GridWit a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your user-generated content within the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GridWit and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of streaks, or interruption of gameplay.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your Profile page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
